HFI India started up in January 2000 in Mumbai. The objective was
to provide the highest quality usability engineering services from
this part of the world. HFI India has grown from staff strength
of 5 usability engineers in 2000 to a 110 strong operation at this
point in time.
HFI India has also started operations in Singapore and China, and has a growing
portfolio of work in HongKong and Australia. HFI India obtained
ISO certification in early 2004, thus becoming the only certified
usability consulting operation in the world.
HFI India's Corporate Responsibility Program
At HFI we are committed to making a positive difference for the community through our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, that identifies and supports initiatives in areas of social relevance.
Over the years, our CSR initiatives have helped institutions such as Assema, The Indian Council for Mental Health Skills and Ability School, SHARE etc. One of its commitment has been to the Aasha Foundation, a school for students with special needs in Pune, India.
HFI's Eric Schaffer and Apala Lahiri Chavan were keynote speakers at the launch of the UPA Hyderabad chapter. Eric spoke on the maturing of usability practices throughout the world. Apala spoke on cross-cultural usability.
